With the advancement of science and technology, monitoring systems have been widely used in various fields. The current video surveillance system mainly uses a combination of visible light cameras, manual monitoring and video recording for daily security protection. However, because the visible light cameras are in bad weather or under low illumination conditions, it is difficult to filter out interference to obtain useful video images. , thus greatly reducing the preventive ability of the entire security system at night or in bad weather conditions. Then, the infrared thermal imaging technology that can improve the night vision prevention ability has been widely used and developed in the industry.
The technical principle of infrared thermal imaging technology:
In nature, all objects with a temperature higher than absolute zero (-273.16°C) continuously radiate infrared rays, a phenomenon called thermal radiation. Infrared is a kind of light wave invisible to the human eye. No matter day or night, objects will radiate infrared rays, but no matter how strong or weak the infrared rays are, people cannot see them. The wavelength of infrared light can be divided into two parts, one is near infrared, with a wavelength of 0.78~2.0 microns; the other is thermal infrared, with a wavelength of 2.0~1000 microns. Since infrared rays will be absorbed by the atmosphere and other substances during the propagation process, the intensity will decrease. Only the wavelengths of infrared rays are in the bands of 3μ~5μm and 8~12μm, and the penetrating power is better. Therefore, infrared imaging technology mainly uses these two bands. test. Using infrared detector technology and optical imaging objective lens technology, the infrared radiation energy distribution pattern of the measured target is reflected on the photosensitive element of the infrared detector, so as to obtain an infrared thermal image, which is similar to the thermal distribution field on the surface of the object. correspond. In layman's terms, an infrared thermal imager converts the invisible infrared energy emitted by an object into a visible thermal image.
Thermal imaging cameras (also known as thermal imagers) use infrared detectors and optical imaging objective lenses to receive infrared radiation signals from the objects to be measured. The imaging is scanned and converted into electrical signals, which are amplified, converted or standard video signals to display infrared thermal images through a TV screen or detector. Instruments made using this principle are thermal imaging cameras. It detects small temperature differences and converts the temperature differences into real-time video images, which are displayed on the monitor. Unlike other night vision systems that require a small amount of light to produce an image, thermal cameras require no light source at all, making them the perfect tool for surveillance in dark environments and at night.
Security industry application:
1. Infrared thermal imaging technology is used in national security and defense fields such as borders and sea surfaces. Due to the long distance and large coverage area of infrared thermal imaging technology, it can detect people, vehicles, ships and aircraft within a few kilometers.
2. Infrared thermal imaging technology is used in polar expeditions in harsh environments, and field security deployment and control. Infrared thermal imaging technology can work in the day, night and even in bad weather such as fog, rain and snow; it is not disturbed by strong light, backlight, etc.; it does not radiate electromagnetic waves, it is not easy to expose its own target, and its concealment is good.
3. The fusion of infrared thermal imaging technology and current monitoring equipment can form the dual-spectrum viewing function of the monitoring camera, using visible light during the day and infrared light at night, the ability to adapt to the environment is stronger, the monitoring distance is longer, and the efficiency is higher. .
4. Infrared thermal imaging technology combined with current intelligent algorithm technology can improve the accuracy of illegal intrusion, border crossing, and face detection, and is widely used in the field of perimeter protection.
